Colin Thompson – Chief Executive Officer
Colin is also a founding member and CEO of Nexus Financial Products and Torus Executive Risks. He was previously Axis Specialty Europe Ltd Professional Lines Manager. Prior to that, Colin was D&O Line Manager at CNA Insurance Company (Europe) Ltd and started the account in 2001. Prior to CNA, Colin was at Chubb Insurance Company of Europe S.A and held numerous positions including Executive Protection Unit Manager and Transaction Liability Manager. Colin holds a BA (Hons) Law Degree.

Ian Whistondale FRSA – Chairman
Ian has worked for the past 30 years in the London Insurance Market, where he has founded and managed many successful insurance underwriting and brokerage businesses, including an eponymous Lloyd's Broker. He is currently an investor in, and consultant to, insurance and other commercial start-up ventures. Ian is married with three children and lives in Gloucestershire. Ian is also Chairman of Nexus Financial Products and Torus Executive Risks.

Hugh Morland – Deputy Chairman
Hugh has over 40 years of insurance market experience and was previously Marsh Finpro Managing Director and also a member of the European Executive Committee. Prior to this he was Chief Executive Officer of Bowring Marsh and McLennan's Finpro Division and also Chief Executive Officer of their UK Retail operations. Hugh was also Chief Executive Officer of CNA Insurance Company (Europe) Limited and oversaw the Company's entire European operations. Hugh is also Deputy Chairman of Nexus Financial Products and Torus Executive Risks.

Katharine Bright – Group Chief Underwriting Officer
Katharine is a founding member of Nexus Financial Products, has 10 years underwriting experience and was previously employed at Newline as Financial Institutions Underwriter. Prior to this, she spent 5 years at Zurich as an FI underwriter, having joined from St Pauls, where she worked within their FI team in Lloyds.

Ben Slater – Chief Accountant
Ben is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 6 years post qualified experience within the insurance market, having previously been a supervisor within the Moore Stephens Insurance Industry Group. His previous work included both statutory and internal audit, including detailed system and controls reviews within all manner of companies within the insurance market.

Andrew Pecover - Group Development Director
Andy joined insurance in 1997, entering Professional lines in 1999 with HSBC Insurance Brokers, focusing predominantly on North American Management Liability. After a number of years at HSBC he joined AON Professional Risks, developing both North American and International Management Liability business. After leaving AON at the end of 2007 Andy joined Brit Syndicates as a Senior D&O underwriter with a global underwriting focus on North American and International Management Liability.

Johanna Coates – Underwriting Support Manager and Group Risk Compliance
Johanna recently graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a first class honours degree in Forensic Science. She has 2 years previous office experience as a Receptionist and Personal Assistant.

Lindsey Brimmer – Junior Underwriting Assistant
Lindsey joined Nexus Underwriting Management in May 2011 as Junior Underwriting Assistant, supporting the Commercial P.I and the Professional Lines Teams of both Nexus Financial Products and Torus Executive Risks. Prior to joining Nexus, Lindsey worked for 5 years in the Public Sector as an Office Manager/ Facilities Officer.

Hayley Flewers – Junior Underwriting Assistant
Hayley has been working with Nexus Underwriting Management since October 2010. Prior to this she had been studying for a degree at the University of Chester, where she attained a BSc in Psychology. Her main role is acting as Accounts Assistant which involves being responsible for a number of varied tasks within the Finance Department, this includes managing the expenses process as well as acting as credit controller for both Torus Executive Risks and Nexus Financial Products.

Natalia Mikhaiel – Administrative Assistant
Natalia has one years experience working within the Insurance Industry, having previously worked in the retail sector. Natalia's core focus is to assist our Administration team.
