04 July 2019Brittle Bone Society is chosen as our Charity of the Year
We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with the Brittle Bone Society.
As our ‘Charity of the Year’, the funds raised by Nexus will assist the Brittle Bone Society in their advocacy and support for people across the UK with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (“OI”), more commonly known as brittle bones. The Brittle Bone Society raise funding for wheelchairs and other vital equipment, provide advice to those with OI and their families, and raise awareness of the condition so that the needs of people living with OI are better understood, respected and fully met.
Brittle Bone Society was introduced to Nexus by one of our employees, and they were chosen because we felt that our fundraising could make a real difference for the charity and the people it supports. It is also a great privilege to be their first corporate charity partner.
Patricia Osborne, CEO of Brittle Bone Society said:
“To be chosen to partner with a corporate organisation like Nexus is a ‘first’ for the Brittle Bone Society - this is exciting and special for us. Nexus staff are really keen to learn about OI and clearly motivated to fundraise for our cause. We are so grateful to Nexus and its people.”
Tim Coles, COO of the Nexus Group said:
“We are delighted and excited to be supporting the Brittle Bone Society as our Charity of the Year. At Nexus, we are committed to fundraising for charities where we feel we can make a real difference. We are very much looking forward to supporting the Brittle Bone Society and the families and individuals they work with who are affected by OI.”
