Job Summary

To ensure that the the Company conducts its business in full compliance to all national, international (where appropriate) regulations relating to the nature of the business.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

    • To work with an external third party in agreeing and implementing compliance best practice
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and governance best practice;
    • To ensure all regulated entities are compliant with regulatory requirements
    • Assist with the development of compliance policy and procedures;
    • Management and attendance of all coverholder audits from compliance perspective;
    • Maintain the FCA Register via Connect and Gabriel including filing of RMARs for all regulated entities;
    • Roll out and monitor twice annual compliance training to all staff
    • Management of the TOBA process – including management of the sanctions systems, credit checking system etc.;
    • Management of the Compliance Inbox including all queries;
    • Work closely with external compliance consultants on all complex compliance issues;
    • Review compliance monitoring plan;
    • Preparation of the quarterly compliance report to the Group Board and other regulated subsidiaries;
    • Monitor the Risk Register and report any changes in rag status to the Group Board;
    • Assist the Group Chief Finance Officer on any Change of Control applications in relation to M&A activity. 

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience


Excel and Word (essential)

Ability to prioritise workload and work with minimum supervision and input

Excellent communication skills at all levels and confidence to be able to respond clearly to queries and questions

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast pace, varied working environment and who is keen to develop new practices and processes.

Strong attention to detail

Ability to deal confidently and succinctly with people at all levels



Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a large organisation with a breadth of experience in different areas

Relevant Financial Services experience

Compliance experience
